Free Marshmallows Offer
We will send a free bag of mini marshmallows ( http://www.sussexsweetshop.co.uk/mini-mallows-639-p.asp ) with every order of £5 or more (£5 excludes the cost of post and packaging). Offer is subject to availability, and can be withdrawn without notice at any time. If mini mallows are not available we reserve the right to substitute an alternative product.
Please be aware that Mini Mallows contain sugar and gelatine, and if you are specifically purchasing diabetic or vegetarian products then please let us know and we will supply a suitable alternative to the same value.
Weights and Measures
All our products are sold in quantities of no less than 113g (otherwise known as 'a quarter' if you prefer to call it that), unless otherwise stated. The displayed product image was taken of the standard measure for that product, unless otherwise stated.
Packaging
On many items you have the choice of a traditional white paper bag, or having your goodies sealed in a clear plastic bag.
Orders are sent out securely packaged, with padding as required.
Where multiple orders are placed from our loose jar range we will normally 'double up' your bags. For example an order for 2x Rhubarb and Custard (113g) will be sent in one bag of 227g.
Availability
A product appearing on this site shows that we currently have this item in stock. As soon as a product sells out we remove it from this site until new stocks are due.
It is possible on rare occasions that your order may exceed our stock levels. If you are ordering more than one of any item we recommend that you verify through the Contact Us link in the yellow navigation bar that we have enough stock to fulfil your order. Once stocks are confirmed we promise to guarantee these for 48 hours.
If you haven't contacted us and we cannot meet your order then in the first instance we will email you notification of this. If we do not receive a reply before 8:30am of the day of postage we reserve the right to substitute the item with an alternative using our professional judgement. Regretfully substituted items cannot be returned or refunded.
Options
Where products have different varients we can't guarentee to meet specific requests. For example, we can't sort out all the black wine gums (we'd have none left). Do ask though as we will do our best.
Nutritional
We are currently in the process of listing the ingredients of all of our products. This will take several months. The ingredients list for products will appear as soon as, along with any allergy advice etc.
Our nutritional advice is based upon manufacturers ingredient listings and additional information as given. We can't be held liable for products ordered from our Nutritional Section where information is incorrect. If any conflicts are spotted (ingredient listing disagrees with the section the product is in) please let us know and we'll provide a gift with your next order.
Regarding allergy based concerns about cross contamination, we would like to reassure you that this is highly unlikely. We do not stock loose nuts, cereal, dairy etc though we do sell products that contain these ingredients. We take every precaution to ensure cross contamination does not occur, but as we are only the final stage in a supply chain we cannot absolutely guarantee products to be free from allergens.
Postage
Unless otherwise notified all orders are sent first collection on the next working day. Our 'Standard' is first class post. The option is 'Insured'.
Standard: First Class post up to 1kg in weight, expected next working day delivery. Standard Parcel over 1kg to 6kg, expected 3 working days delivery. This is the cheaper option but any item lost in the post cannot be replaced.
Insured: As 'Standard' postage except any items undelivered will be replaced once the Royal Mail have confirmed loss of the item.
Returns
If any product is of substandard quality please send a sample back for credit to: Returns, Sussex Sweet Shop, 7 Broadwater Street East, Worthing, West Sussex, BN14 9AA. We are unable to replace/refund products damaged in the post, nor can we refund any postage costs.
Outside of the UK
At this time we only supply to the UK. For further overseas information please email office@sussexsweetshop.co.uk and we will do our best to help. Any orders received from overseas that we are unable to supply (due to excessive postage cost for example) will be refunded, less any direct costs and charges from PayPal.
